Control Dept. 1874, Apr. 29, Dep. Commiss., Control (afterwards Ordnance Store) Dept. 1879, served in Zulu war, mentioned in despatches (Medal and clasp). 1880, Mar. 24, ret. h.p. 1885, Feb. commuted his retirement pay.
